Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Baltimore, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore. ==Background== Cristo Rey Jesuit High School (CRJ) opened in August 2007 and graduated its first class in June 2011. It is part of the Cristo Rey Network of high schools, the original being Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago. CRJ is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school, that has taken on as its mission the empowerment of students to succeed in college, work, and life. In partnership with the Maryland Province Jesuits, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Baltimore business community, the school embraces lower income families of religious, racial, and ethnic diversity. One of its mottos is "men and women for others." The hallmark of the school, and indeed of the Cristo Rey model, is its corporate internship program. Through this program, every students work five days a month at an internship at a Baltimore area-based business that provides students with important job skills and partially funds his or her education at the school. This is the origin of the school's second motto, "Where learning gets to ''work''."
